The Helen Alexander Memorial Lecture is an annual event, with the overarching theme of Women in Business. Each year, a prominent female leader is invited to discuss an important aspect of business. The lecture is devoted to the memory of Dame Helen Alexander, a much loved and pioneering figure in British business, and supported by three organisations that she was closely associated with: The Economist, Informa and the University of Southampton. This year's speaker will be Dame Amanda Blanc, chief executive of Aviva.
