It highlights the struggle for recognition and the effects of legislation like Section 28. Join Professor Phillip M. Ayoub's lecture to discuss global LGBTI rights progress and challenges. He credits advancements to transnational activism, supportive governments, and evolving human rights frameworks. However, opposition from conservative forces complicates the landscape. Professor Ayoub's research explores the interactive space where rival Transnational Advocacy Networks compete for influence.

Sample gins and find out more from the distillery’s charismatic owner, Tom Simpson, who won the University of Southampton Award for Young Person in Business 2023. Professor Lotery will also give a talk about the latest updates from eye research. The evening will include gin tasting, canapes with the opportunity to purchase additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar. There will also be a raffle and a chance to mingle with members of the vision research team. £25 per person.

Winchester Bach Voices will present a haunting and dramatic musical depiction of the Passion of Christ, as told in the Gospel of John. Pre-performance drinks will be served at 6pm, before the event begins at 7pm.
