International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements and rally for women’s equality.
Our first International Women’s Day online event will showcase three influential women from Southampton’s Academic and Alumni community. These graduates of Southampton will discuss their hugely successful careers across a variety of sectors.
Hosted by our Vice-President (Operations) Wendy Appleby, our three speakers, Lorna Tilbian, Mfon Ekpo and Dr Nisreen Alwan MBE will inspire us as they talk about their roles and highlight their key achievements.
