Join the Public & Community Engagement (PCE) Future Cities Hub, our partners We Make Southampton Community Media and Southampton National Park City, and fellow Hubs members Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, for a triple screening of three short films looking at life in the city.

The first two films ‘An Urban Green Adventure’ [12 minutes] and ‘Is This Street Good Enough for Me?’ [20 minutes] are two short documentaries filmed in Southampton, that cast a spotlight on local streets and green spaces, and hopefully give an insight into how each of us can benefit consistently from helping our local environments in small, meaningful, and rewarding ways.

In the third video ‘Team Wilder’ [6 minutes] you’ll discover the inspiring stories behind Southampton’s community organising projects in a new short film. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust are on a mission to connect more people with nature on their doorstep. The Wilder Southampton initiative is a partnership between Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and Southampton City Council.

From grassroots actions to local collaborations, this film highlights how individuals and neighbourhoods are coming together to rewild urban spaces, create greener communities, and encourage more people to take action for nature.

After the screenings we’ll have an open discussion about life in our city, what works and doesn’t work for you, and a chance share your favourite spaces!
