The School of Humanities invites you to join Professor Laura Dominguez, Head of Department Languages, Cultures and Linguistics, for her inaugural lecture discussing “Linguistic theory as a tool to understand bilingualism: what have we learnt in the last 25 years?”

The lecture will be held at Avenue Campus, University of Southampton, and online through Microsoft Teams. Please select your ticket choice when booking.

There will be a reception after the talk for those joining in person where alcohol may be served.

This lecture is open to University of Southampton students, staff, and members of the public.

About the speaker

Professor Laura Dominguez is Head of Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics in the School of Humanities, University of Southampton. Her research interests include formal second language acquisition, bi/multilingualism and native language attrition.
