Hosted by Avila Chidume, founder of inclusive greetings cards business Avila.Diana, hear from a panel of Black entrepreneurs, freelancers and start-up founders who share their journeys into business. Learn from the challenges they faced and how these were overcome, plus top tips for anyone who is looking to follow in their footsteps. The evening is free to attend and welcome to all!

Meet the Speakers:

Ashley Sealy

Ashley is a Photographer, Videographer, Brand Designer and Saxophonist who is the creative force behind What About the Ash. With a track record of working with prestigious clients like Oxford University, Sony Music, Southampton University and various emerging artists, Ash’s lens tells compelling stories through her unique style. Transforming Brands by Design. Her artistry lies in making ordinary people feel comfortable enough to be extraordinary.

Ash draws inspiration from remarkable women such as Condoleezza Rice who greatly influenced her journey and her commitment to empowering others.

Frank Mangna

Frank Mangna is a motivator, personal training, life coach and a fitnesswriter. With over a decade’s experience in the healthcare and fitness industry he is the founding director of Studio Red fitness gym and the popular FunkyFit Boxing concept.

Caroline and Emily Oduro

The Daughters United are a personalised coaching and mentoring service. Emerged as a response to the challenges faced by inter-generational women and girls during the pandemic. Founded by sisters, Caroline & Emily Oduro. “We have seen the problems women and girls face every day. It’s time for change. So, we founded The Daughters United, to create a safer and more connected community. Based in the heart of Haringey, North London. We combine creativity and education to give women and girls the tools, guidance, and help they need to change their life for the better. From private chats, to agencies, organisations and business workshops, we tailor our support to you”.
