Alumni, supporters, partners and prospective students joined the celebrations to mark the first year anniversary of the University of Southampton’s Mexico City office opening.
Professor Peter Smith (Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, International) and Sara Sandford, Regional Director (Americas and Europe) in the International Office, welcomed over 40 guests to celebrate the University’s successes in Mexico since opening the office in 2016.
Peter commented:
I was thrilled to be back in Mexico City a year after our successful launch. The impact of the office cannot be overstated in terms of building our recruitment in Mexico, and in engaging with our alumni.
He also praised the contribution of the University’s overseas representative, Inova Education, which has been pivotal in developing the brand and strategy in Mexico.
Peter also paid tribute to alumnus Paulo Camposeco (MSc Marketing Management, 2015), who has continued to help the University build links with universities in Mexico, develop our relationship with a number of key funding organisations and build our alumni network across the country.
